Woodstove Recipes: Simple Flat Breads Blog July 29, 2017 These are a great accompaniment to some of the other recipes we have featured: the spicy cheesy crab dip, the chorizo and mushroom omelette or the halloumi and mango salad for instance. A recipe inspired by Jamie Oliver and perfect for making with kids, sharing with friends and eating outdoors! 1. Mix 250g self-raising flour with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of baking powder. 2. Mix with 250g of yoghurt until combined. 3. Cover your hands with flour and take a golf ball size piece of dough. Work it with your hands until you have a thin, flat piece of dough. Place onto the stove top and leave until golden. 4. Turn and repeat, then serve! OR: Wrap the dough around a ‘green’ stick and hold above the embers in the stove. We used to do this as Girl Guides (just using flour and water — I’m not sure yoghurt had been invented back then!) and eat them with jam. I think we called them ‘Dampers’!
